Im sure the interface is not as user friendly as DsmLink is, but there are more features then DsmLink has. Many guys running DSMap are getting 36MPG with their beasts. Guys have written stutterbox codes, lean burn codes, timing retard codes, etc....

I really want to learn the most that I can with tuning so I can run a speed density system and be able to tune on the fly, like with DSMap.
I was going to go with OStrich before I got my AEM EMS. One of the big dogs in the community, Dave is a friend of mine and another FFTec car. He recent placed second at CMI running a 10.8s at about 134mph using a rough tuned chip and an SAFC.. not an SAFCII but the SAFCI.

It was quite amazing to see him do it. AEM is king period so I had to jump on the opportunity, but I still keep tabs on the DSMECU emailing list and talk to Dave and a couple other programmers to really learn more about our interfaces. It's some interesting stuff.. By the time they finish redoing some of the coding they have now, there will be no reason to run DSMLink n a 1G, period. (incluiding V3)

There's no official word yet. The entire point of DSMLink V3 is to be able to do 90%+ of what AEM can do, maintain it's ease of use, and cost 40% less. So while the time invested into V3 will raise the price, it won't be all that much more. If I had to guess, I'd say expect $650-699. But my guess is meaningless because I don't work for them :)

it looks like its just for 1g's but it looks like its to plug in the MAF maybe? or some where so you dont need to tap into any wires.
