Yeah, fuel trims make fuel tuning retarded easy on an OBD1 or 2 vehicle. As for timing, that's a tricky one. I know there are AEM base maps for DSMs out there that you can simply upload. Unless you've got a full race set up (we're talking shep style) loading up that map would be your best bet. If you've got issues with temp or stuttering/popping, then I'd start looking to modify that map.
