Default Need someone to do a log for me

I am going to sac raceway next wednesday and i dont have the money for a logger yet to see how my 97 GSX is running. I was wondering if anyone can meet up with me and run a log just to see what I am working with, my mods are: 14b@15 psi, rewired 255 walbro,3 inch turboback exhaust(with cat), k&n filter, MBC, plug wires, ngk plugs, crushed 1g bov... I plan on running 100 octane when I go, but if anyone can do a log with me i'll buy them lunch or something. Thanks a lot.

Sorry I don't have a logger to help you, but if you plan on running on 100 octane before you go, it would be best to do your tune on 100 octane AND tune at around the same time you plan on running your car to keep air temps the same (unless you plan on icing your intake manifold before each run). And a logger won't do much good if you don't have a way of controlling your air:fuel. I didn't see an safc or similar listed. You should be able to get some good trap speeds if you do have one and your mods though. Good luck.

Yeah I dont have a SAFC or any tuning equipment yet, a little low on money. Can any help me on how much boost I should run with my mods on 100 octane? I was thinking 17psi, but if anyone has any input I would appreciate it.

It's always hard (impossible) to guess, but if I was forced to I'd also say 17psi. You'll be heating up your stock IC pretty well but hopefully that 100 oct will thwart knock. If you're going to push the PSI limits, I'd definitely only do it if you find someone with a logger. At least you'll know on the first run if it's too much.

You guys reccomend me putting the stock fuel pump back in untill I get a AFPR, or just buying a 190 wallbro fuel pump?

Depends on your HP goals. If it's over 250whp, then stick it out with the 255lph and get a afpr as soon as you can. I'd get the safc before the afpr though, at least you can get a graph 'good enough' to run your car and you'll be able to tune your mods out. If your HP goals is under 250, then the 190 will work perfectly fine with no afpr and very little air:fuel adjustment since it's so close to stock.

Thanks for the helpful advice Manny, I am gonna buy a 190 soon and install it before i go to the track, and maybe even a SAFC. My goals are enough power to get me into the low 13s to high 12s, so I imagine 250whp will be enough.

I DON'T think 250whp will not be enough to get you into the high 12's......more like 280whp, depending on how you drive and you traps speeds.

depends on if he's willing to drop weight in the car.

Well if the car makes good solid 4th gear pulls, at lower boost put it the 100 oct and kick the boost up a bit at a time.
I am going out to the track the Wednesday after Memorial day to do a few redemption passes
Apperently I can't drive according to some dude in Vacaville, whatever.
but I will be out there then.
