Thread: Just bought a.....................I have some questions....

I just bought a Palm m515 with the charging cradle/usb hotsync, thats it...

What else do I need to start datalogging?

What extra parts do I need?

Do I need a usb-serial converter?

Should I make my own cable?

How do I go about making the cable?

I will be using MMCD 1.8g software.

This is all going in my red 92 talon awd 5-speed.

If you have an answer, let me know asap so I can start logging.

I already bought everything. I have it all up and running for a while now.

I made my own cable.

post up some pictures of the cable and do a write up on the forums. i'd like to see it.

i'll do it, but don't expect a professional cable. I didn't even solder all the connections. Its all taped up nicelly right now. I guess I'll just make another cable and do a write up on that one, with pictures and maybe even a video. It takes no longer then 5 minutes to make.

right on man. sounds good. i know how to make CAT-5 cable for computers... but that's about it... lol.
