Thread: over boosting

ever since did the exhaust and the mas sensor mod. my car has been bosting to 20-22 psi... it is still running rich but i dont know why it is doing this...I dont hit fuel cut but it does tend to fall on its face at 6000 rpm what is this and how do i fix it... also what tis the best timing setting for this car.....some times it is hard to start and it doesnt start smoothly..

best timing for it is stock. 5 degress btdc. as far your boost creep issue you can port the turbo or buy an external. i just happen to have a trick external setup you can buy. if your interested PM me for pics and a price.

Do you have a boost controller? When I put on an exhaust way back in the day, my psi raised from 14 to 19 with no other changes. Just had to crank it back down to 14 via MBC.

i have not installed the boost controller yet. but what i did was remove the mesh on the MAS on the lower unmetered air port and removed the air silencer....how do i hook up a manual boost controller? some one told me to bypass the wastegate actuator solenoid but that deosnt seem right..I am new to the import scene and appreciate any help.... thanks what do you meen by port the turbo?
