i dunno what kind of car they have but they just told me theres oil leaking into the intercooler and the turbo is spooling but its not boosting. anyone know whats wrong? i couldnt help them out cause i dont have a turbo

Typically, he only thing before the intercooler that could spit oil into it is the turbo and since the turbo isn't working properly, sounds like that's the problem.

the most comon way to get oil in the intercooler is a faulty pvc system (if it is still hooked into the turbo inlet) if it is not that the only other thing is the turbo. Also the fact that he has a boost problem also points to the turbo.
they just told me oil is getting into the intercooler from the throttle body.
its an 01 m3
i guess he doesnt know much about turbo's either, i guess he messed it up pretty bad
How old is the turbo and is there any shaft play?
