    Default MAF Translator problem

    Hey guys,

Earlier today Lee was helping me adjust the maft, but it didn't work. Turning the knobs didn't do anything. Is there someone in the sacramento area I can go to and swap their maf translator onto my car to see if it is my translator that isn't working or if it's something else? The maft setup was recently installed on my car.

Yeah it was freakin wierd, I could crank the knobs all the way around and use whatever injector settings you could think of and the trims wouldn't respond and the car didn't even sound like it registered any different airflow reading. On my car, if I make a 10% or more change, you can hear the car respond to the airflow signal changing. I could crank Mikes from 1 to 8 and the car wouldn't even skip a beat. I think the MAFT is busted but the LEDs are reporting everything's cool.

But the logger did? And the fuel trims still didn't move?!?

Something ain't right. Does the car drive somewhat normally? If not, maybe the ecu isn't getting a maf signal at all (CEL? check installation). Or maybe the MAFT is bunk, and is simply not adjusting the airflow signal (somehow locked). Just tossing out ideas, but either way, I'd give the Ramchargers people a call.
