    Default Smog

Well, I thought I had my car all legal and smog ready, but no shop wants to look at it.

I have a huge intercooler, as far as I know, that's legal.
I have a K&N Air Filter. I thought that was too, but apparently, I need my stock air box.
Also, I have a catch can hooked to my PCV... apparently that's not legal? Then where does the PCV go? (To the aforementioned air box?)

I have a 3" after cat exhaust that sounds like ass, but was free.

As far as I know, everything else is stock. I had to reinstall the charcoal canister and all the assorted vac. lines and solenoids, so I am pretty sure that's all right.

Advice? Suggestions? Someone maybe have an air box that I can borrow for a day or two?

#1 route the pcv from the intake back to the value cover and get a new pcv value.

#2 And yes you need to have the stock box on. the FMIC is legal. If you have any problems its in the .gov site. I passed with cams and everything even a big ass fmic. just take all the chrome out etc and black in the engine bay is your friend.

#3 the BOV needs to be 1g or a 2g or at lease painted black lost fail for greddy etc types and make sure its not circulated.

I doubt that you have huge intercooler. Now days huge is 6" tick with 4" inlet and outlet.
PCV hose goes from valve cover to intake manifold,#2 goes from valve cover to factory intake pipe after MAF.

Yea, I guess it's only large then. 12x24x4 with 3" in/outlets and 3" piping. Gotta stock 1g BOV, recirc'd to the stock intake hose. Going to have to go out there and see about hooking the PCV to the manifold... It's the one sticking out the passenger side of the valve cover... not sure where on the manifold it's supposed to go though.

So, guess I'm Looking for a stock air box right now.

If you look strait at PCV right next to it intake manifold has nipple for it.

Okay... So I guess the smog tech I went to was retarded. The PCV is on the back of the valve cover? That's hooked up just as it should be. The nipple that goes off the passenger side of the valve cover is going to a catch can with an air filter.

You can't see it because it's down below the intake. So, what I need to do, is get an air box, and then hook this line to that air box?

That being said, I think I found one in missouri... but if anyone would lend me one for a day or two, and suggest a place that will actually smog my car right, that would be pretty sweet.
