    Default Suspension messed up

So im driving home from a buddies house, when all of a sudden i hear what sounds like catastrophic suspension failure. Metal on metal.

I pull over to find my pass side shock (threaded shaft/nut/washer) sitting about an inch higher in the strut tower than the drivers side.

pulled it out just now to find the lower bushing had slid past the shaft stop, so the shaft stop was sitting directly on the shock hat, thus my noise.

    Heres where it sits now:

Heres where it should sit (between that "stopper" or "shaft perch" and the top hat:

So yeah. Guess its time to replace......

edit: had to link because using img codes it wasnt showing.

Shit broked but i fixed it.

Still have a creaking sound from the rear when under moderate suspension flex (speedbump or cornering with bumps). Was hoping new struts would fix but no bueno on that. Any pointers?

    WHAT.THE.FUCK causes that?

the piece that the front struts have so they sit in the lower strut holder has broke clean off the strut housing.
