    Default idle surge?

    I did tons of research but found no solution to my problem, i read TPS could be the source of the problem or bad coil. My gst idles 500-600rpms and fluctuates. When i put it in 1st gear and about to take off it idles around 100 and dies. I didnt have time to make a video, so i found one.

    This is EXACTLY what im experiencing but at lower rpms and engine shakes harder. And black smoke comes out when reved.

    It could be a number of things.....

    for example, exhaust leak, lazy O2 sensor, boost leak, etc....

    ok, so i started the car and it kept on going up and down and almost stalling, then i disconnected the MAF sensor and all goes perfect, idles great and everything.. idk what this could be... ? :x

    Have you tried switching mafs with another fellow DSMer?

    I just wanted to know if a bad maf could cause all this crap?

    i was reading this: http://www.dsm.org/how-tos/tttt/tttt3.html and thinking it was the isc? Mines doing the same thing, it will surge for about 2 minutes, then goes normal.

    Wow, i just made mine a lot worse.... :shock: i checked the maf and its all good, and took off the TB checked it its good. After that i started it and it idles even lower and first too lean then too rich and back again. I dont wanna fk up my cat, i still need to pass smog. Next i think ill do the BISS, and TPS? i think one of those should be it because my ISC is pretty new.

    car just came back from the shop, the problem, fast idle air valve. I was bout to spend 130 on a junkyard isc. lol.

    barely watched that youtube vid you posted, and mine was alot worse, it would slowly creep up to 2100, then drop and keep bouncing between 800-1400, i hate the looks i get, like im some honda guy that just bought a louud new exhaust lol.
