    Default air/fuel mix problem?

I added a AEM CAI a few months back to my 97nt. When my car has been idling for a short while (at a stoplight), or when i first start it....it hesitates like crazy. My intake (I believe it's the intake) also makes a few 'popping' sounds occasionally, when hesistating. Is it possible that there is now too much air in my air/fuel mixture? Or could it be a loose hose or connection somewhere? If it needs to be tuned at a shop, does anyone know a good place to get that done? I'm new to the aftermarket world, and obviously don't know much about it. Any info would help.

check the connections (couplers) on your intake and make sure that you tightened them down properly. a simple intake wouldn't effect your air/fuel mixture that badly that you would need a tune. the intake won't pop either. check your spark plugs and make sure they're still good and gapped properly.
also, just disconnect the battery for like 10 minutes and reset the ECU.

must be your connections, or something else wrong with your engine. the cold air intake will not mess up your car. do just like euroeclipse said, and if that doesnt work, then something else is wrong. you dont need a tune after just that simple bolt on. i did way more than that and still didnt really need one.

i feel like a dumbass....i had a local shop change my oil, looks like i'm back to changing it myself. anyway the boot on cyl 1 was loose and the shop that changed my oil spilled oil where the boots are at. so there is oil in hole the plug goes in, covering the plug. this was obviously my problem.

the car didn't run bad enough that i would expect a loose boot....live and learn. now i have to get that oil out and put in the new wires/plugs i just bought.

    thank you for the help.
