Default Hood wont shut with strut bar

installed the strut bar and now the hood barely shuts if a jump up and force it down into the latch. the right front part of the hood sticks up a lot and its all because the strut bar is touching the hood. do strut bars and cf hoods not like each other?!?

lori and i took the actually bar off and left the brackets and it clears fine. so its the bar that is not clearing the hood. somewhere by the battery.

You can install washers on the bolts that hold the hood to the car. Maybe like one or 2. This was an old trick dsmers used to vent hot air from the engine out. And it actually worked, ppl took temp readings before and after. If you cant figure it out, this will more then likely help a bit.

do you think it could be the hood? since its carbon fiber. i dunno if the bottom of the hoods would be the same but you should check that out.
