    Default Lotek Dual Pillar

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to install my dual pod lotek pillar and I'm having a little trouble. I can't seem to get this damn thing lined up right. I took the old pillar cover off and it seems that the holes are right where the frame part angles down so I can't get it on there. Its almost like the pre-drilled holes on the replacement pillar are drilled to high. If they were half an inch lower it would be perfect =(. Any ideas? I've heard your supposed to put the replacement over the original one, and I did that, but that looked like crap too. You could see the old one sticking out if you looked, and if you were outside the car looking in you would be able to see the back of the gauges slightly.

Am I just being too much of a perfectionist or did I get a crap pillar maybe? I'll try to post some pics later of what I'm talking about but i don't have my camera right now.

gotta drill and tap your own holes. take off the existing a-pillar and put the new one on and use a punch to make some marks where to drill.

Yes its for a 2g and I was trying to tap my own holes on the frame side. The pillar pod itself had 2 pre-drilled holes, and I was trying to my my holes based off those, but when I mark it, the marks are on the little downard sloping part of the frame right there...man I have to get some pictures. I'll get them later tonight so you guys can get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

is there a chance your lotek a- pillar dual gauge pod is for a 2g convertible?

Aren't the 2g hardtop and convertible a-pillars different?

    ....just a though

i just looked at mine, i managed to drill on the downward slope but the screws holding the pillar on are somewhat crooked. it still went on though, and it looks ok.
