Thread: Whining Ass?

Is it just me or does anyone else's transmission whine like a little biatch. I was just driving it to work today and noticed mine whines a lot. My girlfriend was even asking me why my car is crying...lol. Its mostly in 1st gear and coast down. I don't remember it doing that when I had it, just seems like it gradually gets louder. Maybe its just me becoming more anal and listening too hard to the car, or maybe I just don't know how to drive or drive it too hard and wore something out...lol.

Mine does when coasting in 1st gear but I usually try not to do that. Otherwise, nope!

Yeah I try not to do too much driving in first. The only time I really have to is initial take off for regular driving and then parking lot driving but its so frickin annoying sometimes. Sometimes I wonder if its something in the engine when its under load but thats just because I don't want to think of it being the tranny getting worn out.

I hate transmissions =(. Attach my axle directly to the crank I say!

Pretty slow, maybe 5 mph. Has to be in first now especially since I put in the 8 lb flywheel. I put in 2nd if I can. For instance though, the garage at my work, has really steep hills and there is no way in hell it'd make it up them in 2nd. I also have to go real slow over the speedbumps at my apartment otherwise my cutout will hit them or I will bottom out or some crap so I never quite make it to 2nd there either.

It does it in other gears too though, just loud as hell in first.

Mine doesn't whine at all. It's all about the 99's yo!

Psh....yall just jealous cause got I got a turbo that makes mad turbo noize (as seen on ebay!) and a transmission that sounds like a supercharger .....=(
