    Default Losing Coolant

Ok so heres my odd issue of the day.

On a 2G theres basically 2 lights that involve the Radiator fluid level. The overflow light and the actual fluid level light so far as I can tell.

On Friday my overflow light came on and sure enough it was empty as could be. I checked for leaks in the hoses (none) and filled up the radiator and the overflow. I knew that the overflow would piss off and cause some steam but figured no big deal. Overflow empty light went out.

Now my Radiator light will come on randomly indicating low water. Sure enough after it cools down the overflow is full but the waterneck will take 1/3 of a gallon of water before its full.

The lower radiator hose is slightly crushed by my intake. Not enough to close off flow but enough to slightly (and I mean slightly) restrict it. Would that be enough to cause this issue? The only place the car drops watter after a hard drive is under the overflow tank so I am thinking it might be a case of needing a cooler thermostat.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Note these issues started after putting on a FMIC, Slimline fans, and the intake that squishes the lower hose. That points me towards the hose. The fluid temps are actually lower then they used to be with the stock fans.

    1. no decent intake should smash your rad. hose, so change it

    2. check your water lines to your turbo, if the back one is loose you will never know the water is coming from there, cause it would get burned off to fast, also check your heater hoses and core if possible

    Disintigrated radiator cap gasket.

    Mystery Solved.

Its a 4 inch intake on a T25. Its not the intakes fault its the retard runing a mongoloid on a hairdryer. You think FP though... hey lets make a 4 inch intake so it clears the waterline when plugged into a T25 :)

I rerouted it anyway and thats fine now too.
