    Default car has unsable idle

    when i first start the car some times i have to give it gas to start it. it will surge from 500 to 1100 rpm until the car warms up. the guy i bought the car from said he raised the idle to 1000 because when you turn the ac on it idles like at 800rpm. got new plugs and wires and it didnt help. also i checked the timing and it was on the lowest mark i figure it should be on the top mark. but im not trying to mess with it without conformation that it should be at the top mark. i ran 20.9psi of boost without fuel cut and the gvr4 forum said that it is because my timing is retarded but i just wanted to have a second opinion to be safe.

    I have the same thing happen to me on my 95 GSX, but shortly after that happened I started randomly getting a CEL for a bad ISC which I suspected all along. For now I plug in my logger and adjusted the BISS screw on the TB while I have the A/C on.

    mine would only idle shitty after you reset the ecu.

    it didnt help my ISC was dead. so i ghetto rigged the isc to be a little farther in the extended position so it didnt hurt the idle as much when the ac is on.

    i later realized to cure the bad idle problem upon ecu reset. just dont let the ecu reset :roll:

    Have you pressure tested it to see if there's any leaks around the throttle body, injector gromets, manifold gasket or anything like that?

    Have you bypassed your FIAV? This to me sounds like a wearing FIAV if the car acts normal after warmup. There are wax pellats in there that melt and seal up after the car warms up to lower and solidify the idle. I would either try swapping the whole TB, just the FIAV, or make a FIAV block-off plate.
