    Default Good local muffler shop?

Does anybody know of a good local muffler shop around here?I wanna get a catback and i'm just looking at my different options.Nothing crazy ,2.5 would be fine<i just wanna see if there would be any difference in price/quality out of getting custom fabbed up one, with a Bushur type catback.any feedback will help, thanks.

You can buy my cutout :) It's already welded on a stock awd downpipe before the cat and comes with a push/pull down lever you can mount anywhere in your car. Sounds MEAN when it's open (ask anyone who remembers me bringing it to the meets hehe). With it closed, the car pulled a 14.9 close to stock; opening it on the same setup neted a 13.9 pass. You'll lose some bottom end with it open, but if your driving around town, you'll more then likely have it closed. Mainly a WOT application. Let me know if you want it :) $50 skrillzzzz If not, I used to know the guys at Marco Muffler on Auburn blvd a few years back. They did a good job on my catback on my 2g.

pardon my ignorance, whats a cutout? I went to muffler tech, and with my own muffler they will charge me 150 parts & labor for a catback.with one of their magnaflows it goes up to like 350.250 for the non polished flowmaster style magnaflow.what do you guys think?

It's a valve placed in the exhaust system. Closed, it runs through your stock exhaust; Opened, it acts like an open downpipe :). $150 is about the going rate at most places if you bring your own muffler. Just tell them you want the LEAST amount of bends possible since they usually can't mandrel bend. Light press bending is ok, as it won't crinkle up until a certain point.

These guys are out of San Francisco and I've gotten a muffler and FMIC from them. They use Paypal and ship things pretty fast :D

P.S.- They sell alot of OBX stuff, but I'm very happy w/ my 3" inlet 4" tip OBX muffler. I just had my local muffler store fab up a 3" cat-back and the muffler sounds great
