    Default Upgradeing stock turbo to 14B or new turbo back.

    Hey all i have a quick question. Im on stock T-25 turbo and want to upgrade since it runs out of breathe near 5500 rpm. What do i need to do this upgrade? I have the hard pipe that goes from the turbo to intercooler and i know i have to get rid of that when installing a 14b. So do i need any other things? Or would it be best to blow all of my graduation money (roughly around $1500) on a full turboback and save the rest for later? oh yeah and if i do upgrade my turbo i have to have a mechanic to install it since i have no experience and DONT wanna break my car.

    If you want go to with the 14b/16g/20g then you will need the 2g kit here:

    Exhaust is also critical and it depends on if you want to be very illegal or not :)

    1500 is more than enough for a 14b and a 3" turbo back

    and just hit one of us up, somebody will help you install it, its cake

    Word, 1500 is plenty for both. But if you HAVE to choose one or the other, I'd go exhaust. It'll make a noticable difference even on the T-25 and make a hell of the difference when you do eventually upgrade turbos.

    Yeah my car is a 1998 Gst 5spd. Its a marron colored 1 that runs around florin road like a crazy mofo lol. i cannt stop speedin for some reason and only got pulled over ONCE for loud audio.

    Il try and convince some people (family) to give me some money at graduation. lol it should be around 2000 this time. Either a 14b or 16g, im thinkin of 14b because i would have a stock motor with stock pump and etc. 16g is too much for me.

    $2k is more than enough for a 3" turboback and 16g.

    Evo 3 big 16g = $569 from slowboy
    16g install kit = $200
    550cc injectors = $290
    walbro 190lph-255lph HP = $90-$120
    thermal 3" catback = $550
    exhaustdepot.com 3" catback with magnaflow muffler = $400
    downpipe = $100-120

    grand total is $1669 + shipping so add about $50.
    use the rest to pick up a supra SMIC.

    And for FWD You ADD Another $30 which makes it 199. In that case go get a real nice quality one from Apexi
