Derek...your screenname looks familiar.....you know Jeff with the silver srt4? Your Evo was silver right? And you guys all had the black stripes on the driver front fenders? You probably don't remember me, but I have the black srt4 with the bronze rims...I helped Jeff install the springs on his car...Funny, I just picked up a 95 TSI AWD a few weeks ago...

Anyways, Zane (THCue) has the right idea. You definitely want at least a 2600. Extremepsi will probably have the best price and the fastest shipping tho (Slowboy is rather......slow lol). The install isn't that difficult if you know what you are doing. Sounds like you have enough mechanical experience to get it done youself. Check out vfaq.com, I'm sure there's gotta be a write up on a clutch install on there.

If ya need some help, I'm always down to lend a hand wrenching :D

Yea I gave up on modding the srt4...fwd sucks ass.

It should pass smog if the cat is good and all your emission stuff is fine. Just make sure everything is hooked up stock...

Yup, I remember Jacob with the green rx7...Whats Jeff been up to? Does he still have his srt4?

My tsi is fine, now that its finally running right. Its going to be my weekend warrior/track car so I don't drive it much (the srt4 is my DD). I'm going to start tearing it down this weekend and ordering parts :D

I got mine for $1900 8) Its a 95 awd 5spd with 158k, all stock, compression at 165psi across all 4. Had a CEL and weird idle issue when I got it. Ended up being a bad connection where the previous owner had tapped the tach signal for a turbo timer. Fixed that one wire and its running great. :P

$3500 sounds like an OK deal, I'd still try to jew him down some more tho
