it's going to affect the electrical integrity of the car too much. the battery and alternator will be working double time with that large of an amp.
besides... an underdrive pulley is smaller than oem... if you're belt is coming off, why go smaller? i'd check to see if everything is torqued down properly and adjust the tensioner.

they more than likely are not doing it correctly. stick with an OEM belt from Mitsu and have a quality/reputable shop like Jonathan's Garage and Bar and Grill (haha, you knew it was coming) put it on for you.

Jack chances are your lower crank pulley (aka harmonic balancer) is going bad, what happens is it seperates and causes the belts to come off.

We don't have any balancers in stock at this moment, I will check one of the yards down the street.

    What happened to the tensioner??

i just called the shop and they said the harmonic balancer is just fine. but they are gonnna do a test drive and go over 5000 rpms. they said the thermostat on the head or block was cracked on the front and back.

the bolt broke off again on the tensioner.
