    Default My car pulls HARD!!!

I just installed my 3" hard metal pipe w/o emission fittings that I bought off of a SAC-DSM member(thanks Joey)....
I also installed my 3"GM MAF-Translator combo that I bought off of another SAC-DSM member(thanks Chris) and made my own UICP out of a single 2.25" mandrel U-bend and Fernco couplers. I placed the GM MAF after the BOV and before the TB.

I also re-routed my MBC signal hose....it was T-eed off of my BOV line.....the MBC signal is now on the turbo outlet j-pipe.

I took out the stock MAF sensor by taking all of the little screws out.....no restrictions before the turbo now.

I set the Translator to the stock 450's, hooked up the battery cable and turned it on. It idles like stock. I warmed it up and took it for a spin.

Right away, I noticed more power. It pulls HARD! It had never pulled that hard. I haven't tuned with the translator yet. My datalogging cable that I made is not working or something. I'm gunna make a new one.

Low end and mid range is kinda weaker then before if not the same. It spools A LOT sooner then it did before. Once the turbo spools up, it hits HARD all the way to redline almost.

The GM MAF-Translator setup and 3" hard metal intake pipe have got to be the most beneficial mods I've ever done.

The turbo spools very loud, and the HKS BOV is WAY louder then it was before.

Once I get a log with my M515, I'll post it up on here.

Will tuning the Translator help out my low end and mid range? What will I end up doing with the Translator, adding more fuel?

If anyone has any questions or suggestions feel free to chime in.
    BIG PLANS.....STAY TUNED.....

Well without a wideband you cant really get it dialed it 100% just make sure to check you spark plugs, if they are bone white put more fuel in it untill they get brownish gray, and don't drive it at 100% untill that point or you will burn it up
throw in some new plugs and take it out for 5-10 min of good 80-90% runs check your plugs then go from there.
You don't want to burn it up, and it can happen WAYY faster than you might think

9 times out of 10 the recommended settings are FUBAR. Don't even drive it until you can tune it the right way.

Thanks for chiming in Jon. The plugs I had in there were pretty new. Maybe 300 miles.

So, when I check the plugs, if they are bone white that means i'm running lean....So, where exactly do I add fuel?
All over? Base Idle? Low? Mid? WOT?

One thing for sure, it pulls HARD once the turbo spools up and kicks in....
It's faster going from mid-WOT, way faster.....I'm talking 12 second status.

More then likely I will get an s-afc II to fine tune a couple more % + or -

I think it's WAY faster now. I will never know what kind of difference Dsmlink would have made since I will be going with a AEM EMS standalone. 8)

Well add fuel when the boost starts to come on, its not going to burn up at idle or cruising speed

I think I fugged up my spark plugs already. At idle and mid, its started to get a little slower and kinda stumble a little bit, but once the turbo spools, it hits HARD all of a sudden, all the way to redline, even if i dont have it at WOT.

I'm gunna fix my logger cable that I made so I can actually get some numbers of what is happening. And post it up on here.

    Default my log

Tell me what you think I should do?

The Fuel trim Low looks very high, and I have some knock apparantly, but no knock at cruising nor phantom knock Timing goes down to 11 degrees at one point. I did this 3rd pull by myself, I hit WOT at 2000 RPMs for a little bit because it got kinda scary since it was pulling so hard so fast, and it got kinda scary when I got to about 5000 RPMs so I didn't take it all the way to 6500 RPM like I wanted.
    here is my log:

I'm running the 3" GM MAF-Translator setup in blow thru on stock injectors.
