fixed that guest post for ya, and the only person i know of to do it is jonathan, but he is always busy, im sure between our 170+ members someone knows a place, they just need to get over on this new board, its been up for less than two hours so give it a little time![]()
I had a guy in San Jose quote me 450 or so for a 6bolt swap....But I'm going to end up doing it myself along with the Cowtown Crew. You learn more that way and you appreciate it more. Besides you doing it yourself California Street Machine in Fairfield might be able to do it. They are already doing Rich's GSX rebuild.
The 2.4 is done....Now just need to tune the shit out of it
$450!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn thats cheap!!!!
I would charge at least twice that.
That was just labor....as long as I supplied everything else. Which makes sense. Otherwise theres newlogics a straight up 6bolt swap will run you 750 from them but from what I've heard they are pretty good and mainly DSMers. Only problem (and I think this was brought up in the hangout) they "wont" work on your car if it doesn't have a cat.

Smart choice. It's not that difficult putting a 6bolt in a 2g if you have everything ready. Only thing you really need to modify is the shifter weight on the tranny, and the engine driver side mount to bolt onto the 6bolt block. The rest is just drop in. Hopefully you have the 1g 6bolt oil cooler as well, unless your planning on running an aftermarket one, which is even better. Mike, 1g Dan, and a couple others from Cowtown have experience with pull and installing. But I'm going to end up doing it myself along with the Cowtown Crew
