Default bah, lost to a crx

i know this is the kill stories thread..............i got killed.

now the GST is basically bone fucking stock. aside from the 3" catback and act2100 clutch, performance wise thats it. ive been driving it around(cause it gets great mileage when its stock, compared to the GT) and im on the freeway. times like this i wish i was either still modded or at least had my tbird(or better, the gt). come upon a primer black crx, the thing was loud as fuck.

i creep next to it, he starts goin through traffic crazy, which wasnt really necessary, traffic was thin but i guess he wanted to show off. so i just went into the fast lane and kept up with his incessant ricerness the easy way, as hes weaving through the slow and middle lanes like a idiot.

we finally get a break, i hit 3rd, hit a whoppin 12psi on the t25, and he downshifts too. dead fucking even. hit 4th, where at least i expect to gain a few feet by doing NLTS with a t25, but that doesnt happen. he starts to pull away. fuckshit.

i slow down. take my exit home, and park. go on the computer, and put the car on craigslist.

    i hate losing to honduh's.

What do you mean good gas milage while stock!? lol I did the math for the ~800 mile drive here and my little Spyder got 32 miles to the gallon. Not bad at all. I didn't change the tune, the boost level, or even the wheels/tires lol. I was suprised.

Hondas done right are not slow. I almost want to buy a honda and do it right just so I can shock people that think nothing of them. But Im going back to Utah some day and naturally aspirated engines hate Utah.

freeway it got good mileage, but city, dude it sucked balls, and that was driving around and never seeing any positive boost. i got dsmlink in the hopes of regaining my mileage being able to tune things better and use the injectors the right way, but it didnt really make a difference. the only thing dsmlink did for me was show i wasnt even at 20psi, and that my 02 was dead. i never really rid myself of knock, never regained my mileage, and it wasnt much faster from going from 15 to 20psi.

oh and im sure the crx had something done, at least bolt ons, but its still a honduh. losing to one is something im not used to. hell losing at all is something im not used to.

Most semi-intelligent people talk non stop shit about Hondas because even though they have potential to be fast little street cars, only 2% of them are. It's not a question of their potential.

I think Hondas are to the point that there are so many riced out ones. That if you had one that was done right you would be like a sleeper.

Pull up to someone and theyll just think "oh its just another farting riced out honduuuhhh" and then get smoked.

something like that. i think 5% of all "modded" hondas are actually modded, that 5% include youre everyday swap and bolt ons.

id say out of that 5%, only 10%(so .5% of all honduh's) of those are actually modded right(either high comp n/a+nitrous, or low comp built boosted).

and yes my mustang is slow, for now. someone came by to look at the gst and will give me 9 for it, has to wait till later this week for the money through his credit union. and i hear that if i pay the loan off like in full cash, i actually dont owe the 6k i think i do, so i might get even more money cause i wont be paying for another 2 years of interest. so ill have even more money to mod the car out. i think 4.1's, udp, intake, full 2.5" exhaust, shorty headers(though not needed), 75mm TB and plenum, sct x-cal2 tuner, and a nice 75 shot of nitrous ought to hit into the 12's. add some deep dish(10.5) bullits out back to help with traction, a lightweight driveshaft(universals are going out as it is now) and a king cobra clutch(or its equavilent) should add to the equation.
