    Default 92 tsi awd vs 94 z28

Hey everybody. This is my first kill story so bare with me. My car 92 Tsi awd with tre tranny, k&n, 3" downpipe and catback, boost is at 13-14psi with no boost controller, hks 264/272 cams, engine bored .40 over, act 2600 clutch, fmic, upgraded suspension. z28 is an auto with cai and cat-back. ok we went from a stop and I did the three honk I bogged the launch (still learning how to launch) he had a car on me on the launch it was the worst launch I have ever tried in my car. I pulled him back to even by the end of 1st gear. Pulled about 1/2 a car on him in 2nd. Pinged the 2-3 shift cause I forgot to take the little cover off the shift light and I am used to using that to shift. He pulled it back to even with that mistake. By the top of 3rd I had 1 car on him and we shut down.

Another semi kill was I raced a c5 vette on the freeway. From 85-125 he got the jump on me twice and I stopped his pull and put like a car on him by 125 each time. I had a friend in the car with me that has a cammed 96 z28 that runs mid 12's. He didnt want to believe that my 4 banger with stock turbo could pull on a vette. He is trying to say the guy was "messing" with me. I was like why would he have messed with me twice and let me win? Plus when I shut down at 125 he came flying by me. I told him to get one of his vette friends and I will give him a go to show him for sure.

If it was a REAL C5 vette, he would have made mince-meat out of your heavy awd 14b at 15psi from a roll, even with those cams. Nice kills though and I'm sure with a bit more practice, you should be eating heavily modded LT1's and LS1's by 3 cars out the hole...and pulling ;).

I actually used to drive a c5 vette (was my dads car) my car feels just as fast if not faster. I also raced the cammed z28 from a roll cause he has no traction on the street (he runs mid 12's at 113) his car is a 6 speed. I have been with him when he beat an 03 cobra by 3 cars, c5's by like 6 cars. I raced him from 45-125 and I lost by 3 1/2 cars. Also the previous owner ran my car to a I think it was 13.4 @ 105. That should be damn near a c5 vette. I am looking for someone that runs low 13's to race though because I have been working on my driving and launches to see if I can run with those cars. I have setup a race against an 02 trans am ws6 that put down 325whp 335wtq and has upgraded gears, clutch, and drag radials. He ran a 13.0 at the track. I am sure I will lose but I want to see if I can make it close. I dont know when the race will happen though because it has been storming down here. Thanks for the input mang and I will be making a lot more threads in this section win or lose.

What do you mean a REAL c5 vette? They made fake ones? :P If it were a Z06 it would have made mince meat out of you but the C5s, while pretty damn quick, aren't untouchable. I walk them on the free way with ease.

    Edit: Good kills! lol

Sounds like it was literally towing you :P Running at ~18% richer than the already rich stock maps on the evo3 ain't gonna hang with a stock Z06, not even a C5.

To add a little to the previous post.. It was only from midway thru 3rd gear through the top of 4th.. (On undersized tires to boot.. ) What impressed me even more tho was the last time i came up on a zo6 i got owned in my 2g spyder with a FP big 28..

It was just one of those good car days u know... when its running right and staying outta the knock and not too rich..
