Default I made it to WA

So I'm here and finally have Internet and my car is finally here too. Feels like home :D My step dad drove my Eclipse the 800 miles here this weekend and didn't have a single problem except for almost getting arrested for speeding. hahah He was pissed that he had to drive their Mazda 626 back instead of the Eclipse. I guess he really liked the thing.

Spokane is pretty cool, it's like Sacramento but with trees, mountains all around the town, and a ton of lakes that aren't a toxic dump like Folsum. I've got 3 Ski Resorts within a half hour and unlimited wakeboarding potential. Canada and Seattle/Tacoma are about 4 hours away and Cour D?Alene is right next-door. There's a 1/4 track out near the AF Base that's only about 10 miles from here so I'll finally get a time slip. There are also a handful of performance shops in town but I haven't bothered to check them out. They've got half a dozen tricked out cars on display outside the shop (employees cars probably) but they?re not exactly performance oriented if you know what I mean. coughricecough

I've seen only about a half dozen DSMS, mostly beat up 1Gs. There is a nice looking 1G AWD about 3 blocks from my house though so maybe I'll make a new friend lol Seems like mostly (slow)WRX territory out here with a few fast muscle cars running around on the streets (9 second '69 Camaro on the streets every weekend? WHAT?? )

So I?ll be back next month and in December and lots of other times to visit but after looking at real estate, other costs of living, taxes, gun and vehicle laws, climate, and just the general attitude of people, I?m never moving back to California. I still might buy in Sparks to be near ?home? but I couldn?t bring myself to move back to CA. Did I mention it?s only $35 to license a vehicle whether I buy that H3 Hummer I want or a $500 Pinto? Lol A new 3 bed two bath that would run $350K+ in Yuba City is $200K here. No assault weapons ban. Emissions consist of a super easy sniffer test and NO visual. They don?t even pop your hood for an ignition signal. If you live out of the city limits, you have NO emissions ever. So far its been right around 85 degrees with nights around 75. Doesn?t rain here like Seattle. Spokane isn?t paradise or anything but damn, CA SUCKS in comparison.

My grandpa lived in Cour D?Alene and everytime we visited we flew into Spokane. Nice place :) It has its ups and down :) If you go into Hayden Lake around Cour D?Alene, you will find about 15 pawn shops within a couple of miles. They have soooooo many firearms and other cool stuff for sale. Oh and theres a sporting good store called like Blacksheep or something like that. Anyways its literally the size of Home Depot with all sporting goods :) ttyl

Nice Lee.......happy to hear that you and the family are doing well...let me know how the financial breaks are in comparison to CA.......I'm never leaving but I always like to know how much more I pay for things here as oppose to other places.....
