    Default Socketed ECU

Anyone in the Sac area know a place where I can get an ECU socketed for DSM link. I know they offer the service but there going on a 2 week vacation.

I will kick down the 30 the DSM link people want to socket for anyone who can do a professional quality socket job for me.

    Thanks

if i knew what all was involved in socketing it, i'd do it for you. i'd need a vfaq so i'd know exactly what i was looking at. but, other than that i can do it.

I could probably pull it off but it would look like crap and take me forever. Rich, I checked out your ECU today before I shipped it and it looks like it came socketed. They did an awsome job. They test them too before shipping them out. Should be there tomorrow btw.

i thought if you get a 95 eprom ecu all you need to do is take one of the chips out and put the DSMlink one in and install the ecu.

or maybe mine came socketed already. its got the chip at the bottom. i bought the dam thing so long ago i forget if i had it socketed or not. i think i did though.

if you're willing to make the drive to Suisun City i'll socket for you as long as you provide the socket and ECU. it's really not that hard. i have a soldering iron and i'll just need to get a spool of solder and some braided resin to clean up the solder on it already.
