    Default Sunrise, C.H. warning...

This was posted on the other site that I frequent. Just a warning about cruising the sunrise, roseville, and citrus heights areas... ie the weekly meets:

If someone could make this into a sticky I'd appreciate it.

Ok here's the deal guys and gals. Sunrise Blvd from Grantline all the way to Eureka in Roseville is being patroled by motor officers from Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, Sac Co Sheriff, Roseville and CHP are enforcing "Loud Exhaust" and speeding vehicles I.E. Ricers, Domestics or whatever looks like it even COULD be fast.

So onto my story. Jenn and I take the coupe out and were going to head up to Krispy Kreme for some coffee and donuts and as soon as I crossed over Upland and Sunrise I get nabed by a Citrus Heights PD Motor Officer. So I pulled off and onto the closest surface street I could find. So I turn everything off and get my info ready. He comes up and asks for license, registration and insurance paperwork. He asks me about where we were headed and so on and so on and then gives everything back to me and this is where things get fun. He proceeds to inform me that Sacramento County has issued a law enforcement grant to fund a joint task force to solely patrol Sunrise Blvd only. 36 Motor officers from the above mentioned agencies and all they are mainly looking for are 18-25 year old with loud exhausts and or speed violations. He told me that he easily could have my vehicle impounded for exceeding the noise levels above stock settings. The ticket could have ended up costing me over $2,200 for modifying emissions equipment as well as EPA fines for polution issues. My advice to anyone in that age bracket is stay the fuck off of Sunrise on Friday and Saturday nights. Honestly the only two things that saved my ass tonight are 1) I'm old and 2) my former firefighter status (Union Decal and Firefighter plates). The officer had to laugh that we actually made it as far as we did without being pulled over and cited prior to him. The officer was actually really cool to us and said basically "Hey I'm 40 years old and can appreciate a cool weekend toy car but my advice would be to find an alternate route back home and that his fellow officers may not be so forgiving if they stopped me

Yup, what you say is true. I went out there in the good ol' DSM and luckily did not get pulled over. But during the five miles I did drive on Sunrise I'd say I spotted about 7 motorcycle cops.

fuck that. let them ticket you. take it to a audio shop and have them run the dB meter on your exhaust. take that to the judge. if youre not exceeding the limit of 95dB then you have won. also, if they are withing 50ft and they hear it, you win. only if its audible from farther than 50ft fromt he vehicle is it illegal. it is NOT illegal to modify exhaust as long as the exhaust is not obnoxiously loud. IE put in your silencers and get it tested people.

fuck that, 2200 bucks. ill run from their asses and make them work for it and spend a few for actually doing something wrong. then ill make a huge publicity stink about how theyre profiling young teenagers and going above the law to get whatever they want. im sure News10 would love to hear about that. expecially when the kid they pulled over goes to the raceway every week, yet has no tickets pertaining to anything on the streets, and only uses his car at the track.

this IS profiling at its best. and Profiling is wrong.

i got pulled over just for being in the turn lane like 2 weeks ago. just cause the cops seen a couple imports, he figured we had fast cars.

lol top this one. I was in the suicide lane turning from greenback to some parking lot. Folsom PD drives by me going the opposite way, does a U-Turn on Greenback to pull me over for what? No front license plate :) Pretty hardcore :P

you get a ticket for that?

i wonder how this will work... cause some people i know are getting pulled over for no front plates even with out of state plates. OK only gives you 1 plate and only requires 1 plate on the car in the back.

A Citrus Heights cop made a u-turn and somehow made it through the traffic behind me to pull me over for a license plate light being out.

haha that sucks! that's just a little too much just for a simple light being out.

Got pulled over by citrus heights P.D. in my old integra cause I was missing a bolt on my license plate and it was hanging on crooked, then he asked me to pop my hood after checking all my info...
