Thread: Window Tinting

Anyone know a good place to tint windows? Xtreme Dynamics quoted me 160$ for all five windows.. anyone know of a place with a better price, and good quality.. let me know!

That's pretty good, I think I paid 185 for all 5. Get the 3M tint, it's the best I know of.

what kind of warranty do they offer on the tint? i know some places offer lifetime warranty. so if it ever bubbles up, you can take it in to get it fixed.

Yeah, that is def somethin that I am gonna ask before I actually take it to them. I am gonna see if they will install my alarm for my. I know there WERE offering a free, but I think sh*tty alarm with install with any tint job. So if they don't want to install mine.. I'll have em do that one.. then just replace it with mine.

What did you end up goin with Lee? I want the rear triangle windows to be pretty dark.. and the front not quite as dark..but.. dark.. hehe.

All 3M tint installed by an authorized dealer has a lifetime warenty so ya know.

I ended up getting all of them the same, I think it looks clean like that. Even factory new cars (not in CA lol) have dark rear and not so dark front and I just wanted something a little different. I think it was the 35% stuff all the way around.

20% is the most you can have tinted in CA on your side windows, but triangles, rear, and sunroof are fine with pure black. Just remember that backin up at night is a bitch!@!@!. I did 30% on my side windows and haven't been fucked with yet..

Any tint is illegal in CA. Factory install tint is ok but it's illegal for cars to be sold in CA with factory tint so that doesn't matter. The films that are supposed to block UV light and reduce the temps inside the vehicle are ok but must emit 88% light or more.

Basically, all of the tint we like on our front windows from the light 15% stuff all the way to 95% limo is illegal.

Edit: I was talking about the front windows in this post but managed to leave that out some how lol
