yup, while calling a mitsu dealership looking for a used evo the salesman asked if i would be interested in the new eclipse, he said they had one in, i said "ewww, no" he laughed and said yeah they're not for everybody.
I like it,but it need a hump on the hood. And why the hell would you try and race a GTO in that thing? Those goats are meeeean.
hi, I'm the idiot behind the wrench.
saw one at capitol mitsu in San Jose as i drove buy not to great looking from a distance. :(
Tom and I saw one today at Sacramento Mitsu... I have to say that I prefer the 3g's better. They really keep missing the mark with that car. The idea of having a 3800 lb, v6 power "sport compact" is kinda stupid. Its too slow to be considered a sports car and too heavy to be a sport compact, that and IMO its ugly too. In other words i have no love for the 4g.
That car is ghey....goddamnit Mitsu.... It looks like a freakin Scion Tc (crap). Why don't they let us, the Eclipse enthusiast design the damn thing =(.
Because they already have our money?Originally Posted by FritosBlud

I think a large reason for this is that no one really knew what to expect when the 3g hit the market. Disdain for the 3g certainly grew as people realized what it was. This time around with the 4g, people are disappointed because they immediately see it as a progression from the 3g, and not a return to what the Eclipse once was. Personally, the unveiling of the 4g caused me to shrug and :roll:Originally Posted by 98spydert
I could care less at this point. The way that Mitsu is going with the Eclipse has put the 1G and 2G dsms in a class of their own. Makes me appreciate my cars even more. What would you guys think of the Eclipse if they made the 5G look almost exactly like the 2G...but had the same drivetrain/power as the 4G??? Just curious.
