    Default K & N Gold Oil Filter

Just bought the K & N Gold Oil Filter and for the turbo eclipse it says to use the HP-1010. Well, the closest thing Kragen had was a HP-1006 and everything is almost perfect. Almost. Do you guys think this will work fine

Product Box Length: 3.12 in (79 mm)
Product Box Width: 3.12 in (79 mm)
Product Box Height: 3.75 in (95 mm)

    and the

HP-1010 that is correct one is:

Do you think it will be fine or should I custom order the HP-1010? Thanks

EDIT: I called Jonathan and he said it will work. Anyone else tried it yet?

Shane - I run them on my EVO and I've had no problems. They are about 1/2 the size of an OEM filter but they are a few bucks more.

For future reference only get the HP-1010 K & N Gold filter and NOT the HP-1006.

The 1006 has a really small circulr gaskets that moves. The 1010 has a much larger gaskets and its squared off rather then rounded and it sits much higher then the 1006.

The 1006 has the captured O-ring type seal (which is actually better)
kind of like the factory Mitsubishi oil filters that came on the 1g's and the EVO's
    they will both work fine.

OEM filter all the way. proven to work. cut one open and just look at the difference between it and the other filters at kragen and stuff.
