    Default Open air Subs.

Anyone have experience with these? What are the pros/cons? My daily, a 00 Sentra came stock with a 10" Sub.. but its open air.. was just wondering maybe I could replace it with a better one.. and keep it in the same spot. Any input on this would be great. such as a good open air sub maybe? Thanks guys

from my experience, the open air subs are decent. we used to sell them at sears. they would sound pretty good placed in anything, depending on the brand.
they sound even better in a box. if you want to replace it, look at your options of what you want it for. check out audiobahn or crossfire. audiobahn is a bigger name than crossfire, but those subs freaking THUMP. i used to own a crossfire 2000watt amp and 2 crossfire CF3 10" subs. i had the ohms set to 1 ohm and it made me sick. i couldn't sit in my car. raised it back up to 4 ohms and dropped the power, i still hit 143dB at the bass off.
