    Default Auto insurance rates

It's time for me to get insurance again and this time I chose Allstate Auto Insurance. I was quoted 640.40/ 6 months. I'll be turning 21 soon, but my rates are still high for someone with a clean record. Which insurance provider do you guys have, level of coverage, any points on your record, how much do you pay, and do you recommend your provider? I use to have esurance. They're so much easier to deal with since I don't have to have my vehicle inspected or submit signed documents; however, I do get more coverage for the money with Allstate.

Ouch! Do you have full coverage? I don't have collision coverage, but I'm going to add it when the documents are processed.

640/6 months is around what I pay for State Farm, but I've been through a few different providers and the cost has always been about the same. Full coverage, clean record, 500 deductible. Can't say that I'd recommend any of them, as I haven't needed them at all. FWIW, I also can't say that I could've gotten a rate as low as yours when I was your age.

EDIT: Whoops, also just saw you don't have collision. Eh, well here's another data point for you.

EDIT Again  : Cars insured were a 96 GST in LA for 4 years, and a 99 GSX for a half year in LA and a half year in Sac.

Yea, I have to negotiate with my agent after the documents are processed to see how much extra it'll be for collision coverage. She did say that I can get the other option for collision where it covers my car up to 3,500 damage for less than a dollar a month. The only reason I wish I could be older is so my rates would lower...haha. Oh, I also messed around with the quote to see how much a female would pay if she owned the same car and it was signifcantly less.

2 cars, 2 drivers full coverage on both the 4X4 and the sports car costs me about 3,000 a year from Gieco. We're both 22 w/ no points anymore. I can't remember what the Chryslers was...
