Default Lack of Need for 93 Octane

For quite some time now, I've been wondering why there isn't any 93 octane in CA. My curiosity brought me to email ConocoPhillips and ask them why. Here is the response I got.

    Dear Mr. Keidle:

Thank you for taking the time to contact our offices. We appreciate hearing from you and learning of your needs and concerns. ConocoPhillips, Inc. is committed to providing a level of service that meets or exceeds the expectations of our customers. It is through your communication that we are able to achieve our goal of building customers for life.

I have contacted our fuel division and they have informed me that 93 octane fuel in not produced by any of our California refineries nor any in the western region. The state Weights and Measures Departments usually mandate and enforce the octane levels so it probably won?t be produced unless required by them.

We value your business and hope that you will continue to provide us with future opportunities to serve you.

    Sincerely,

    Debby Stokes

Think we can get a petition going to create a "need" for 93 octane? As we all know, our cars and even any other car on the market runs a LOT better with 93 octane. Knock goes away, it burns cleaner and more efficiently, etc.

here is my response to her:

So what creates a ?need? for the 93 octane, if you don?t mind me asking?
ConocoPhillips Companies offers 100 octane fuel at the pump at only 1 gas station in our area in the Sacramento, CA area for almost $6 a gallon. To me, it would seem a little logical to offer something in between.

Yep, it's one of the pumps in the middle. It's like 5.80 or something a gallon. :(

With gas prices going so high in this stupid hippie state the idea of paying 320ish a gallon doesn't entice me. Friggin hippies...

P.S- Get back to work. You aren't gettin paid that extra 3.50 a day to type letters. You get that money to sit there and think that you'll actually get to shoot something one day
The 2.4 is done....Now just need to tune the shit out of it
