Budget or Baller Tu? lol. Budget, you can get away with any Ebay cooler and have us help you with your piping. Many choices to choose from depending on your future turbo plans. Slobo, Savo, myself, and even Shane have fmics that block the entire opening of the front bumper without any overheating problems. Personally, I have a huge 31" core on a stock radiator and only one slimline fan, the other stock, and 0 overheating. I'm sure Slobo will tell you he has no issues either. So if your a Baller like Slobo, then you want to go NICE with a bar&plate setup. SBR makes a nice fmic with short-pipe routing you might want to look into.

Best bang for the buck is to get a spearco or other core and make your own. I don't think I speant over $400 for everything and I can hold over 40 lbs/min just fine with no heat soaking at all. Post-IC pipes are ice cold.

As for the airflow thing, you just need to get a kit that alows airflow to your radiator or when you make your own keep that in mind while installing. I made ducts going to my radiator and cut a big chunk out of my bumper support to let air flow by and I've never once had an over heating problem.

i have a 24x12x3 ebay fmic and it takes up the whole mouth+some. havent had any overheating problems. at high speeds(like freeway) air can still make its way through the fmic and into the radiator, thats how air to air intercoolers are designed, the air flowing through the fmic fins is what cools down the air on the inside.

I have driven for hours at a time with no overheating problems. I haven't tried the fmic during the summer but I don't think it will effect the cooling to much.

Scrymerr and I both have the SBR fmic. since i'm in iraq and my car isn't running at the moment, i haven't had a chance to use it. Dan says he loves it though. no overheating. he has custom short route pipes and i've got the ones from SBR.
