Thread: Just when I thought.............

my day could not get any worse.......


Rob decides he wants to take the RX-7 out for a little joy ride after this weekends tuning nightmare, well to make a long story short it ended up 100yards out in the field past the shop, taking with it a light pole, barbwire fence, speedimit sign, and a crap load of grass and weeds.
From the tire marks it looks like he lit the tires in 3rd for about 100 feet or so and then he decided to make a right turn into the field!
yea I'm a little mad.

J - I'm sorry man.....the blood, sweat and tears that you put into that car.....its a shame that this happened. In the end though, if Rob is OK and no one got hurt........the RX-7 is just a car, just like my EVO and everyone's whips on here.....they are just cars and can be replaced fairly easy.

Yea, Shane and Lori got to see it right before the wreck.

it is going to be fixed, it might take a month or so but at least now I get my 99' front end to match the 99' rear end and I get to put on the 4" exhaust I built (because the 3.5" system is still in the field somewhere!!)

I am still pissed because now the car is going to be too nice to really do anything without Rob flipping out about rock chips or r compound tire buggers stuck all over it. Oh well the 240 is still in one piece!! (knocks on wood)

I think the FD is the only car more cursed than a DSM. Two of my oldest friends have had them. Between the two of them, they probably got about 10K miles. One was totalled within a month. The other has been crashed twice, is on motor #3, and has 70K on the clock.

Still love that car though.

if you go past the shop on sunrise just as you pas the last shop look to your right into the the field........Douuuuuuu!!!!!
At least he did not get hurt, His wife told me not to build a car that would kill him........ I talked to James and Rob has a class at the Bondurant driving school in a few weeks!!! HAHAHAHAHA
