    hes not on meth, hes on e85 now.

    I say too much timing coupled with the cooler/denser air (which is why the car felt fast as hell), compounded by the fact you were pushing/creeping to 29psi due to the cold weather (as George said, the gauge was maxxed, another reason it felt faster) led to very high cylinder pressures and ultimately snapped a rod. I wouldnt be surprised to see some piston damage as well. Not to mention lack of WBo2 gauge to monitor AFR's in realtime and back to back (5 as i hear) WOT pulls with the variables above working against you.

    It's because you weren't running nitro meth.

    Im going to say you will find something like this!

    Only with less blueing of the big end of the rod.. Your rod will probably be in pieces..

    Acutally this rod came from a melted piston.. You probably just snapped one fairly clean and punched a hole in the block..

    Prolly not a rod bolt that initially failed.. Prolly just your average stress fracture that suddenly let go from way too much powah.

    * actually - edit..

    So on this rod.. a piston melted/fused to the cylinder wall.. the crank ripped the big end off the rod then came back around and smacked into the rod a few times..
