    Default SMOG Sucks

So, does anybody know anyone that has a clue? The last 3 smog shops I went to looked at my intercooler and were like 'no way I'm touching this car'

The mods in my signature are pretty much current. I have a knock off injen intake, with a K&N Air Filter, 3" intercooler pipes with a big FMIC, and a stock 1g BOV recirculated.

I have a carb number written down for the injen intake, but no sticker (since it was secondhand, and from china maybe?). I really don't want to spend a buttload on an intake, because they're functionally identical... but I really want to be able to drive my damn car.

Any help appreciated, and if you know a guy that will ignore the underhood altogether, a PM would be ideal.

    FMIC/14b turbo
    3" GM MAF with translator
    Stainless brake and clutch lines
eibach springs, 2" drop, camber kit

You have too many things going on that will catch a smog techs eye.

Having an intercooler/piping is fine, just putting on a stock intake would have someone actually smog it, but since you also have gm maf good luck lol

Its the price of the game should always take account smog when modding

Tragic really, I have the stock intake and MAF at my parent's but I don't have any 450cc injectors, so without the MAFT, I would be pig rich. The MAF is blow through, and with the 3" pipes, looks like it belongs there, nobody has said anything about it... It really looks like the intake is what is holding me back.

Unfortunately, I didn't buy a smoggable car, there was no turbo/intercooler/intake/exhaust at all when I got it, so I wasn't modding so much as buying aftermarket parts as I built. I accumulated most of the smog equipment through multiple cars (this is the culmination of 4 DSMs) but clearly need to get a bit more.

    this.

id spend $100-200 and buy all the stock shit, and spend a day reinstalling everything, $40 for smog and then another to reinstall and get back to where you were.

ive heard of people charging $200-300 to pass modified vehicles.....

I'd pay the money if I knew a guy... since that isn't the case, I'm currently looking for stock parts that I never had to start with.

I never had problems getting smog shit done with a FMIC. Throw that stock intake on and just drive around to more smog shops. I know you work in EDH, so try some shops in Folsom. That's where I get it done. Some places just care less about visual, and will pass you if your emissions are good.
