    Default radio code

So i finished my car, started for the first time, and test drove it. Runs like a charm, but now i cant listen to music. Radio "code" is on, and i dont feel like shelling out $50 at the stealership  . I researched and found no alternatives so i came here for help. Anyone have any suggestions?

Get an aftermarket radio? Sheesh, for $50, you're already 1/3 of the way to a fair quality head. *shrugs* I'd give you my extra radio, but I don't know the code to it (it's CD only, a friend of mine got it for me, but I already had the CD/TAPE combo, and the code for it, so I still have the CD player with no code)

Edit: or you can start guessing. There's only 10,000 possibilities!

Call Corona Mitsubishi in southern CA.

They are the ones I call when I need a code, free of charge over the phone.

You will need the serial number off of the radio and the VIN of the car the radio came with originally. YOU NEED BOTH....the VIN from the car and the serial # on the radio.

They will then give you a 4 digit number that you put in.

    #6412 is the code

Now how many times did you try the wrong number?? Does the screen say "OFF"??

If it says that you need to leave the key on for about an hour to clear the lock out.

    If it says "CODE"

On the radio station preset buttons press the number 1 (6 times) the number 2 (4 times) the number 3 (1 time) and the number 4 (2 times) the screen should say "6412"

Now hit the CD button or the AM/FM and the radio should come on
