    Default Where to get fluids?

Anybody know where I can pick up some BG Synchroshift and Redline Heavy Weight Shock Proof Gear Lube locally? I don't want to pay for shipping if I don't have to.....

I ordered Redline Shock proof for the tcase and rear end from Summitracing, free shipping and 1-2 day delivery. I am going to use Synchromesh in the trans which I can get locally. 8)

You might wanna think twice about using synchromesh in your trans.....its GL5.

If you ever get to see syncromesh drain out of a hot tranny, it comes out thinner then water.

I use it in my 92 Silverado with a 5 speed manual tranny because thats what it needs, but I don't think I'd run it in the tranny in my awd dsm which will see more abuse and uses a GL4 based fluid. It doesn't seem like it has very much gear protection.

you can use GL-5 on anything that requires it and below. It's not recomended to use gl-4 in something that needs something better but backwards is ok. I'm running valvoline synthetic blend GL5 in the dsm and chevron 80w-90 GL5 in the galant in tranny-,x-case and rear diff. It'll be fine.

Please do not give such false information.. Go ahead and use some GL5 in your transmission and we'll see how long it last. say bye bye to your syncros.

why do you say it's false? Alldata and mitchell both say that. they say if it requires GL4, put GL4 OR BETTER. i put GL5 at work on cars that take GL4 all the time. not one come back. So where is your source of information saying that I'm wrong? I mean, If I'm wrong I'm wrong, But what makes you say that? I gather my knowledge from expirience and expirienced people, I've had the luck to have very knowledble bosses and master techs at the shops I've worked at. Thats my expirience anyways. Both my cars are running GL5 BTW. The galant is running GL5 since mid 06' and the tsi since early 06. Still tickin.

The chemicals in it eat away at our brass syncros. Any DSM tranny builder will tell you to stay away from them.
