About LinkBacksi got 9900 for mine from a dealership, you want 14K for it, sell it outright, id like to see any of you that have one turn it into a dealer and get more than 9900 for it, mine had 36,000 miles and was NEVER modded and it had problems.

sucks for you. That dealership tore you a new one. You shoulda sold it private party, trade-in value is low on ANY car, not just a neon.
like I said in the other thread before the mod nazi's decided to be douchebags....If you want re-sale value buy a honda. You can go on and on about how the neon is a cheaply made car, yes it is. Nobody is arguing that fact. But don't forget every single auto manufacturer has a car they make thats cheap. The logic you people are using is ridiculous. The v6 ford mustang is used as a rental, does that mean all mustangs are garbage? You can rent a chevy truck, does that mean they are crappy and cheap?
Just because your neon was a pile of crap, doesn't mean every single one is. Yea, its still a neon, but I beat the hell outta mine and I don't have a broken crankshaft or a random misfire. There is a local srt4 guy here with 100k+ on his stock motor, he's pushing about 375whp everyday, running 100 octane and beating the piss out of his car... he hasn't had ANY problems.

i couldnt sell it outright or private party, it had a check engine light that couldnt be fixed and was about to be deemed a lemon. i did not want to go through the hassle of an ecu in safe mode or the lemon law. the only thing i could do was give up the car to a dealer that would take it. it will be sent out fo state and sold cheap at an auction to some stupid dea;er that thinks they can fix it. i wish them luck, vacaville dodge has tried 3 times changing different parts.also if i claimed lemon law on vacaville dodge they would lie and whatever else to protect them so i said to hell with it and gave up the car.
Yea thats sucks....I don't blame you, I would have done the same thing. Re-sale value isn't THAT bad on these cars, especially with all the 16 year old kids wrecking them, the value of mine goes up (as does my insurance rates). Anytime you trade in a car you get crap for it, just the way it is. Private party is always better, but in your case you didn't have that option.
Just trying to make the point that just because your particular srt4 sucked, doesn't mean they all do.

i hear ya. the neon is a second faster than the STI in the 1/4 to. must be weight cause the STI hauls azz.
