$hit I hate smog
Ok so here is a bit of a long story about my smog problems lately,,, FYI im convinced smog people are all nazis!!!
Smog #1
Smog Shop #1
Tech#1 Stupid car wont idle under 1k rpm (my fault). He also was going to flag me w/ dmv for a modified car bcuz the actuator was not installed (new engine didnt want to boost). Made it through egr test but wouldnt idle so aborted test $60

Smog Shop #1
Tech#2 fixed idle problem, Installed Actuator, fixed boost leeks, installed new egr just in case. Tech #2 took him an hour and could not figure out EGR Tech #1 showed back up from lunch and helped w/ egr, but i had to show them a spare egr for them to figure it out after tech #1 already did it b4. Tech #1 was also super nazi about my actuator and tech #2 was freekin out over no air can, but i didnt have to have one cuz tech #1 never said anything. End result Failed Smog on ide 151hc's w/ a max of 120, so long free retest!
, Replaced MAF, Replaced Cat (thanx ben), Replaced Plugs, 1/2 tank 100octane ($50), a bottle guarantee to pass ($10)Leaned out 800rpm & 2500rpm by 6% on safc, exhaust smells like hot air wooooo hoooo!

Smog Tech #3, After waiting 30 mins for my turn, smog guy pulls me in pops my hood looks puzzled and says "your car has a turbo?" I say factory equiped! tech says hmm, reads book for 5 mins or so then says "Sory man, I hate to do this to you but Im not feeling good Im going to have to go, Can you bring it back monday?" I said thanks for wasting my time! No!.

Smog Tech #4, After waiting 10 15 mins for my turn, I realize oh shiznitzle i forgot to reattach the wastgate, mechanic (not smog guy, smog guy does not see me) loans me a set of plyers i hook it back up good to go!. Finaly get my turn w/ Tech #4 and he looks extremely confused (Oh gawd im thinking), anyways after burning about $10 of 100 octane while idling 4 ever he wast like 30 mins looking at the book talking to some other buy and repeating about 10 times, anyways almost an hour later he comes to me w/ boss and says "Your car has a mitsubishi valve cover!" I say "yah so!?!" he says "I cant smog this its the wrong valve cover I will have to flag w/ dmv as modified!" I say "Are you F-ing kidding me?" Holy shit I want to rip this retards head off right about then,,,, so in a puff i get my paperwork back at almost 5:00pm today (saturday) and tear ass out of parking lot (remember wastegate still hooked up) Holly krap! all wheel spin sideways out of the parking lot onto cherokee in lodi, that was fun, but unexpected!

Smog Tech #5, again after waiting 10 mins for my turn at shop #4 that closes at 5, who was nice enough to take me in! Its my turn woooo hooo!! Ok so tech #5 is looking under my hood cornfused! so walks to the back of the car to look at something? I ask what he is looking for he says "your car is turbo charged" I say factory equiped! he does not beleive me I say look at the sticker on the side of the car 16valve awd turbo! he says that is just a sticker and looks under the car to verify awd! I say look at the guage! he says well your turbo is different, I say BS! Its a 14b I put it back in myself when i put the engine back in (oh fuck should not have said that). ok so finally we get past that part and he shoves the sniffer in and guess what FAIL!!! grrr I say preheat the cat so he does not verry willingly though,, ok so now it makes it through idle and 2500rpm who knows at this point if its pass or fail,, now time for EGR test,, oh no way smog book actually says NO egr on 90 2.0 dohc turbo motor, after fighting w/ him for 15 mins finally he tests it, and tries to say its bad so once again i have to show another smog guy how to do it so he can put that nice little "P" next to EGR on the machine! So after all this guess what!! It passed wooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! hella low too 8hc on idle and 10hc @ 2500 way way below average and way within passing range. Now its on like donkey kong Biotch, let the modding commence!!!

i just sent him the title to my mustang, since it also will not pass smog when im done. pigs cant say crap because i put the cars in his name so its all legit.
