HELLO STI 2005 BABY! srt was about to be taken under lemon law for #4 cylinder misfire so outta my life she went.
wow. so you never found out why it had a misfire? Man that would drive me nuts. Even if I spent alot of time finding out whats wrong, I'd still like to know. I just couldn't walk away not knowing why? :P . I saw pics of your srt. It looked very nice. But hey, I bet that STI looks/ feels nicer huh?
hi, I'm the idiot behind the wrench.
the srt had a #4 misfire which was caused by the spark arcing for some reason sending the ECU into safe mode which dropped horsepower. it got new plugs and wires twice.it was about to go to the dealer for the 3rd time, if it happened again it would be concidered a lemon and my hell would begin. claiming lemon law is an 8-12 month drawn out process in which you get a lwyer to help you. also you have to go to 2 other dealers to get estimates to see if they get the same thing the other dealers did. then dodge sends representatives out to look at the car and paper trail youve made. while all this goes on for 8-12 months, dont think your driving your car cause your not. oh and the best part, for 8-12 months of this, your payin for your own lawyer. good enough explanation? i loved my srt but i didnt want that hassle. the sti is more payments but so much more car and unlike the srt my extended warrenty covers turbo:)
ccol. Not like you needed THAT much reason to swiych from an srt to a sti.lol
hi, I'm the idiot behind the wrench.
no but even though i got 100 times more car im payin more for it lol
Congradulations man, I'll see you tomorrow.

Funny, I drive a NEON (srt4) and I don't have any issues. In fact, I hardly see any NEON's (srt4's) that are lightly modded and have issues. The heavily modded guys do, but any heavily modded car will have issues. What does being a neon have to do with anything? You must have gotten beat by one sometime in your mad tyte street racer life and you are still holding in the resentment from the loss.Originally Posted by OldDirtyNoSeven
Sounds like this guy just got a lemon. It happens. My mom's Ford Mustang that she bought brand new in '95 was a lemon. Fortunately the dealership was cool about it and she basically traded it back in for another car. Shit happens. I don't see why the fact that it is a neon makes any difference.

the fact it was a neon is this, i was told by 3 financing companies they didnt wanna refinance it cause it wasnt worth anything to them, 1 of them was a company i had 2 paid off cars with and great credit. i owed 21000 on it and i got 9900. gap insurance is a nicer way to say sorry we F$#ked ya but incase you screw up your worthless car well cover it since it is a new worthless car. im happy to be out of that car and yes it was about to be deamed a lemon and i didnt want the crap that goes along with that.

I have put engines in FOUR cars that all had broken crankshafts, granted these cars were all making north of 400whp, but thats the limit those lower ends tend to come lose at. if Mopar would have put a forged crank in those cars they would never have that problem,
when was the last time you heard of a Toyota, Nissan, or Mitsu crank breaking???????
