    Default uhoh 14b too big!

So i fixed my boost leeks tonight and ben helped me dial in the throttle body (thanks!) turned out I was right bad ISC mixed w/ some more fine tooning on the TPS and Idle switch.

Anyhow,, now I have the wastegate actuator on too,, wow this thing spools to 15 like 45 minutes before you even think about putting about .00000005 ounces of pressure on the gas pedal.

the drawback is at like right around 5k my injector cycle shoots up to 103% (450cc,, 660's after smog) MAF maxes out at over 1600, the o2 leans egt's shoot up and knocks like crazy,,,,,,, needless to say the actuator arm is disconnected and I drive like 900 year old great grandmother.

Ben also got a new chip burner which seems to have helped significantly with idle having a newer image, and also pulled some timing out..

Im pretty sure at this point im going to get my hands on a wide band asap and start doing some tooning for a MAP, once i get all my fuel mods installed (after smog)...

Also Im going in for smog monday! wish me luck!

Jason lets drop my MAF on there tomorrow.. I know its good.. My car wont be running by then anyways..

Yah.. 2.3 stroker on 15 psi maxes out 450 cc injectors a little before 5000 RPM..

Whats worse is that is on wastegate pressure only.. We werent meaning to hit 15 psi.. Vacuum line hooked straight from j-pipe to wastegate and it smacks 15 lbs on a 14b with stock actuator..

Neat.. Fuel cut at 15 psi.. heheh

That POS with the wastegate actuator disconnected completely and the flapper pulled open still hits 10 lbs..

Yah i was using the idle switch to adjust the idle because of the ISC being bad, and not getting enough results from the bis.... But using my method of adjustment on the idle switch was all wrong, thanks for the time of looking it up!

Did you set your idle the right way? You have to ground pin 10 on the OBD1 connector on the right of your fusebox under the dash, and then ground the timing adjustment connector on the right side of your firewall. That will put the ISC in the dead center position. Then adjust the idle, shut off the engine, and disconnect those 2 grounds that you hooked up.

If you think your ISC is bad, take it out, hook up the 2 grounds to make sure that its in the dead center position, plug in the harness to it, touch the ISC's mount to a piece of metal in the engine bay, then turn your key to ignition. If it works, it will move to the center.
    BIG PLANS.....STAY TUNED.....

    Idle was setup properly.

The resistance across the coils of that ISC wasnt even and pretty close to the bottom of the range.... I prefer them dead even..

okay so today at johnnies I set the idle again,,, I got into range but now this evening when it has cooled down i dont get the real high idle that drops down low its almost like the isc is fked, and now it is around 650 instead of the 750 it was this afternoon,,, but also since I dont have an overflow right now Im thinking i am not getting an accurate reading off of the temp probe for the ecu,, this weekend I will put the bottle back on somewhere..... As soon as i start getting some money rolling here im going to buy a new ISC and temp probe straight from satan for peace of mind.. I think im screwed as far as smog goes,, Im going to top off the coolant in the morining hook up the actuator arm again and take her up and down the freeway for about 30 mins and then set idle again and straight to smog i go..

ahem also Im almost convinced for every $5 you spend in upgrade parts you spend $50 in repairs........

Dayum you will never hear me say another bad thing about a domestic again... I think i need to replace just about every thing in my car...

I think the the precedure I need to follow to fix my car is

    1. remove long block

    2. replace car

    3. install long block in new car
