Default State ref here I come..

So much for the invisible 1g theory.. Luckily between jason and I we have all the stock 1g stuff.. Just a pain in the ass to hafta unbolt:

Manifold, turbo, and o2.. Remove MAF.. Reinstall stock IC and piping.. Install stock DP and cat.. Remove fuel pump.. Rail.. injectors and regulator, SAFC, and pop the stock chip back in....

Bleh.. What a waste of time.. And a senseless one too.. All that stuff will be back on the car before I even drop off the inspection certificate at the courthouse..

Or you could just wait til they send you the letter stating to pay $xxx.xx amount so you don't have to visit one. Mine, if I remember correctly, was about 240.00. Easier then taking out cams, turbo, etc etc

even if you pass, you still have to pay a ~$220 fine when you drop off your smog certificate. at least in sacramento, might be different out there in lodi.

Actually that is at the officer's discretion..

He can choose whether or not the offence is correctable.

In my case he said since it was my first offence he would mark it correctable..

So all i have to pay is 30 for the inspection.. 8.25 for the smog certificate.. then 10 bucks to correct the offense at the couthouse..

I got popped with T3 flanged turbonetics 50 trim and gate, FMIC, Tial BOV, etc. etc. etc. I started taking the crap off and making it stock, and then I got the thing in the mail, I dont remember what it was, probably about $250.

Tempting.. But im a pretty quick wrench and would have that car beat down and into shape in a few hours flat..

Plus i was also tagged with loud exhaust so that has to be checked anyways.. And an additional fine if i dont correct it.. Plus they order you to remove the vehicle from the street untill it is brought into compliance.. So technically they can ticket me any time they see it on the street untill it is reffed..

So technically any time they run the plates on the car that should show up untill Its reffed..

its not really about the money. Its just the peace of mind that Ive jumped through all the hoops like a good sheep..

I guess thats why most of the crowd i ran with are now popo's...

When im driving somewhere its usually pretty effing important that i get there on time.. So getting pulled over and harassed is a pain... Not to mention that I have like a billion speeding tickets as well as a racing ticket so I usually dont catch any breaks now when im pulled over..

glad to hear that you can get out of it pretty cheap. when you said "first offense," did you mean that you haven't ever gotten a ticket before? when i was sent to the ref, it was the first time i had been pulled over for modifications, but definitely not my first ticket.
