After checkin out mannys thread I'd thougth I'd post up too considering I pased last Tuesday with even more done than Manny had.

The biggest factor of me passing is the fact that my Tranny, Engine, and Top end are all brand spankin new (about 6-700 miles on them total) And the way OD Jon put everything back together (Even stock vac lines, right down to the clips) It growls of perfection. (What a DSM should sound like?)
There was no way I wasn't going to pass. The car passed well below the averages on 2 of 3 areas (By rediculous amounts even, and the other was about 1/3 the max only a couple pts above the avg.)
The car would have passed with the 101200s in there easily
So guys its possible to pass these things without gutting it. As long as they over look the obviously much bigger turbo (Some of you have the benifit of having 16gs and what not which look stock) Then you are all good. Lots of places wont care as long as your BOV is stock and recirc. and all your fittings/smog BS on are on. (Keep that vac line sticker on there, last thing you want them to do is to bust open a book that will show how much other bs you have hacked up) With mine looking damn near stock there was no doubt it wasn't legal.
Of course I took the "Horse power in a box" sticker off the Maft-T and tucked it away so it wasn't totally obvious (Lol Jon had it ziptied so that it was almost a focal point when you popped the hood "Cops! Look at me and my 'For off road use ONLY' lable!" lol
So that makes, passed smog, brand new HK tires/ redone suspension, body work started. Now what's left is to get it painted, get all my new black leather interior pieces (if this guy on Toonerz every replies) and it'll be a decent car finally. Then I'll start with the details. Can you say welded IC piping and tuck? :twisted:
