Default More lame laws against "street racing"

    http://www.kcra.com/news/9918954/detail.html

Hmm so 7640 drivers out of how many people driving in California were convicted of this??? 7640 isnt **** compared to how many murders, rapes, etc.. happen every WEEK in california. The stupid ass governor has his priorities totally wrong on this. Also out of those 7640 drivers, i bet 50% were illegal and didnt even have a license/insurance. This kind of crap just makes this state look more f***ed up than it already is.

I don't see anything wrong with that law, from what I read on the link... Street racing kills people... darwinism or not, it kills people that aren't racing too. Maybe this'll get less people racing, and get rid of the laws that piss me off... The laws that piss me off are the stupid pop your hood laws/profiling laws. Just because my car looks fast, or I put an aftermarket something on it, that does not make me a street racer. Also, just because I'm speeding, doesn't mean I'm racing anybody.

i just thought it was pretty dumb for them to say that 7640 people in all of california were convicted of speed contests. I do agree that if you are caught street racing you should be in trouble and such but maybe at the same time they should look at other things that kill people also. Yes street racing is bad and all but you have to look at the big picture, do you really think that anything california does will prevent street racing?

I can gurantee you everything they have done thus far has reduced racing dramatically. I know people who have even given up modding their cars altogether. (These wern't even people who srteet raced either) It sucks the way they are doing things but it is working...

Yes it may be deminishing but it will never go away. They can try all they want but people will still street race. Ya it sucks that a lot of people have given up on modding their cars because of all this but it will never go away,
