Default Headlights. Aftermarket vs OEM. Cost effective.

I'm upgrading to the 2Gb bumper here soon. Problem is the damn OEM 97-99 headlights are pretty pricey and are getting harder to come by used. Is it worth it to save the extra $100 for some headlights? Just wanna see if I post a poll, who would be in favor of what. Heres the aftermarket ones I'd get.

    $140 after shipping

    And of course the OEM

i guess i'm more partial to the OEM ones because the AM ones tend to have fitment issues with larger intercoolers.
even though they look sexy, the halo also burns out and you'll have to splice wires just to get them to hook up.

i did the 2gb conversion on my 95 too and i think the oem headlights look a lot cleaner. i think ebay now has aftermarket oem headlights. i bought my aftermarket oems from autolights inc. at $175 a piece.

Unless you're going to do a full HID retrofit, don't even waste your money on projectors... if you are, there's a very good article on tuners that I can pull up for you (bookmarked it somewhere) that shows you how to take the ballasts, lenses, etc out of BMW and other OEM HID cars and retrofit them into the A/M Projector housings. Other than that, I'd say go OEM.

Manny - I like the look of the aftermarket but what's the quality like? Also, those look like they are asking to be pulled over unless they are on a benzo, audi or bmw as they have a real euro style to them.

Keep it stock on the outside and unleash holy hell under the hood. You could always just buy my EVO and have fully adjustable HID's :D
