    Default Sacramento Street Racing again...

    http://www.kcra.com/traffic/9828744/detail.html

I guess my question is this, since the street racing task force in Sacramento is pulling over only suspicious "street racer" vehicles, does this go to show that even bone stock cars will race too??? These kinds of accidents at least show me that targeting a car that "loosk like a street racer," does not necessarily mean they are because perfectly stock looking honda and such race too. Does anyone else think that eventually this whole street racing taskforce thing will die???

    Thoughts, inputs???

My dad street raced in the 50's and 60's and people have been doing it for decades. It's not going to stop as this wasn't 3am in the morning on Florin Perkins.....this was at 6:20am in the moring on a normal street. People are going to continue to red light race as long as the earth is here and police will keep up their fight against it.

"Officers were searching for a black, late-90s Ford Mustang that may have also been involved in racing. The Mustang was described as having tinted rear windows and a modified exhaust."

Yep that combination right there is SURE rare around Sac...

I just find i funny that no matter how much this task force and police department try to stop street racing, it will never go away. I know that it has impacted a lot of people because how many people on here have sold thier DSM's mostly because of the police department? I know its not the sole reason but has played a major role in people selling their DSM's.

Ya it is funny that they refer to the civic as a sports car lol.

This pretty much sums it up right here. Also, no matter how hard SacPD tries to crack down on 'street racing' they will never ever be able to prevent those people just driving fast. Whether this was racing or not, driving down a street at 70mph isn't uncommon for people just trying to get to work (6:20am?). I think Jon (Underdog) said it in his other post, that people in CA drive FAST. I think TOO fast sometimes. I think SacPD should focus more of their time on speedlimit vs harassing people who have cars that 'look' fast.

where are these so called "fast drivers" you speak of? i'm ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS stuck behind someone doing 20mph UNDER the speed limit. IN THE LEFT LANE!!!
and don't get me started on the right lane... or how people don't pay attention.

(sorry, bad drivers are my #2 absolute hate in this world )

You sound like one of "those" drivers and just dont realize it HAHAHA! Playin. I go to work 6:30 in the morning and always see those asshats up and down Watt ave. The only time it's below 20mph I've noticed is heading home from work around 5-6pm, or if I'm late for work and heading out around 7ish.
