Thread: last minute 'looks better' ideas 4 HIN

hey guys,

im looking for some ideas that will help spruce up my eclipse for HIN...im having a few minor custom things done to the trunk, like custom fitting to make the covers for the rear struts to fit with the strut bar in place, re-carpeting the back of the back seat...things like that.

I'm also planning on cleaning up the engine bay a bit this weekend like polishing the letters on the valve cover and painting the cover...haven't decided on color yet, but probably red or something that will go with the red coil and wires. I'm doing touch up paint on the front bumper (going over speed bumps at +3 mph :roll: ) and misc spots elsewhere on the body. i most likely wont be able to take out that little dent in my hatch in time :(

but i'd really like to hear some quick good looking fixes preferably with a budget in mind...and that i can do in the next like 14 days or so.

i am having the car professionally and completely detailed 2 days before inspection.

new floor mats are always a good way to dress up the car.

floor mats are actually in great condition, and i am having the carpeting and mats shampooed etc. during the detailing

idk about the cf...i have a cf shift boot...and pretty much anything else cf is $500 or so.

With HIN there are three things you need.....

Neon Lights
TV's in every imaginable area
and random pointless stuff. (Fishtank instead of a valve cover, Caged midget serving starbucks, or a defibulator)

My vote is to either somehow put some type of flamethrower on there...fire always makes stuff bad ass or go to Centerfolds and hire some strippers to go at it on your hood.


jk...except for the strippers. As long as it's clean, no wires sticking out, and everything is shiney it'll do fine.

the only thing im really trippin' about is that dent in my hatch...its really not that big and there's no paint missing so its not that noticeable, but still...im supposed to get my check from working in the great race on mon or tues, and im really thinking about spending $700 or w/e to get it all cleaned up back there. thoughts?

and by wednesday, my trunk will have changed a lot from how it is now. i'll put up pics dont worry. and im getting a buffer to take out any minor scratches, and cleaning up the engine bay.
