Thread: Just moved here

Hey guys. My name's Jon, just moved here from Washington since I'm going to school at UTI. I drive an AWD Laser that I put back together myself last year after I had bought it missing a tranny and a bunch of other stuff. My best time at the track was 13.6 @ 100mph on the small 16g. I'm not used to such a big town, are there like weekly car meets around here? There was a small weekly car meet where I used to live up in Washington and am looking for something else kind of like that. Here's a picture of the Laser:



Yes I know it has hood pins on a stock hood but the car came that way when I bought it. And yes I know it needs a drop, and I have some ground control coilovers for it with me, but I don't know how I'll be able to install them since I'm living at an apartment.

Hey welcome aboard, and awsome Laser :) Definetly a sleeper here in sac, as all the 2 Laser owners here don't mod much and have gotten out of the scene. You can check out the information in the Meets thread to find out where we meet now. It's a bit slow currently as we're slowly rebuilding the meet spot, but it's definetly picking up again. Welcome.car looks good...stay away from the cops they are looking for cars like those in sac.

welcome! very clean laser you got there. like was posted earlier, the cops are most likely going to be more anal here than your hometown so look out for them. on the plus side, sac has some very knowledgable dsm folks (not me :( ) that are regulars on this board.

I just saw Underdog today making a U-Turn on HOWE heading back towards Arden Mall chasing down some beater ass lookin probe/180sx or something lol. It was funny because it stood out so much. The hoodpins gave it away. I was in my MDX so not like I could have given you guys chase (Hmmm.. actually I might have caught you all when VTAK kicked in y0!)

I wasn't chasing down that car. I was probably just pissed because I was lost and had already gone up and down that road like a gazillion times. I'm starting to get a hang of what streets go where though now.
